Wednesday, February 1st, 20121 on 1 Wedding Photography Workshop with Alex Orbegoso
Thursday, January 26th, 2012It’s always fun conducting workshops since I get to share my knowledge and ideas in photography. Not only that, I also get to learn from the participants themselves. Fusion of ideas that make our passion more exciting and fun! Much more if the participant(s) share the same “gusto” as I have.
Alex Orbegoso is a dear friend from Iligan City who is now slowly climbing the ladder as a Wedding Photographer. It was a 2-day workshop full of learning and fun with so much laughter. Thank you Sir Alex for giving me the opportunity to share. Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of Wedding Photography! “_)
The workshop wouldn’t be a success without the suppliers, thank you so much for the love and support!

Iligan 2011: Diyandi Festival Photo Contest
Tuesday, October 11th, 2011I fervently prayed to God to guide and bless me those days while I was in Iligan City for the Diyandi Festival. I am such a beloved child for He never fails to shower me with His love. Out of the 15 pictures that I submitted (5 entries for each category), 6 went in and bagged 1st, 2nd and 4 honorable mentions (consolation prizes). I and God had this understanding and I will keep my promise to Him “_) Thank you Lord!
People have one way or another played key roles in this wonderful experience: Al Fritz Ermac (who also won 1st place out of 3 categories and some pictures of him were also given prizes) for adopting me for several days, Engr. and Mrs. Maloy Ardieta for adopting me on the 1st day of the festival especially for the sumptuous dinner served by Dr. Jo Ann, your hospitality, kindness and friendship I will always treasure, Atty. Zed Ditucalan for giving me such a beautiful advance Christmas gift “_), and to the Judges: Bobby Timonera, Icon Chua, and Pat Noel, the President of the Iligan Bloggers Society, thank you all so much for the inspiration. And of course, to all my friends/photographers in Iligan City, thank you all so much for the well wishes and support. To God be the glory! “_)
This is an absolutely No-Photoshop contest, not even cropping. Printed as they are, uploaded here with borders and watermark added and resized for comfortable online viewing.

George & Aj | E-Session
Friday, October 7th, 2011The moment Joy, who’s also one of the many Lakshmi Photos’ lovely brides, inquired about a certain cousin’s wedding, we knew right away this would be something wonderful. Truth to tell, it truly is. Thank you so much Joy and Shane for giving us another beautiful couple. George and Aj are our youngest couple to date. So energetic, so fun and quirky, adventurous, always on the go! We loved each and every moment spent with them and their family and friends and our cameras loved them too! George and Aj met through an online game and this concept of them being players of what they love to do started our marvelous day. We also got to meet their 83 year-old grandparents. George and Aj, we hope to see you both 60 or more years after, still the quirky and fun couple that we love.. hehehe.. Aj’s grandparents are totally an inspiration. Something that we all are looking forward to… growing old with the one’s we love. Now, before I get too mushy and bore you with my inspired heart, I present to you, the Tantra players of Lakshmi Photography. Enjoy! “_)

RJ & Franzel – Destination E-Session
Tuesday, October 4th, 2011We’ve been to the island of Camiguin countless of times but most of the places that Rj and Franzel took us were a surprise to us all. Most of the planned locations were not taken coz we passed by areas more interesting to have. What’s more interesting are the couple themselves. We were more or less spoiled by the warmth of their friendly, caring and thoughtful manner. If all couples were like this, we would want to have this done every single day
Not only that, we were also fascinated at how prepared they were for their E-Session: locations, clothes, props, and food, of course!
Without further ado, here’s Rj and Franzel’s E-Session. Enjoy!

Wedding and Portrait Photographers of the Philippines: MindaNOW Photo Congress 2011 – Davao City
Wednesday, August 24th, 2011I almost wasn’t able to go but I sure am glad I did!
It was my first ever WPPP (Wedding and Portrait Photographers of the Philippines) experience and no words can describe how thankful I am to be able to have the chance to witness how the masters of photography are able to share their knowledge and expertise in the different fields of photography. My head almost cracked with information that was overflowing.
It was the night of August 18, 2011. I travelled the long and winding road of Davao City with the “A Team”: Edwin Orbe and his sons, Jez and Karl, Engr. Maloy Ardieta, Jelo Pacaña, and Atty. Zed Ditucalan, whom we are so thankful for letting us ride in his awesome and sleep-friendly car
He swept the road so carefully that we know God was with us, guiding and blessing our trip to and from Davao City. We encountered numerous trials that one might have almost (knock on wood) caused our lives. It was too foggy; almost zero visibility. And at a particular place, just minutes before we arrived, there was an accident that took 2 lives; one beheaded. We were so shocked that we forgot we all have cameras. We could have taken photos to document the incident. The same with the container truck incident that caused a huge traffic. Atty. Zed insisted that he can maneuver the car though only a slight mistake can tip it off the hill. We travelled early to be able to have some rest before the festival and he was insistent on keeping our time tables. We were all glad he did, for he was so skilful that we arrived just in time to have a few hours of rest before the WPPP Photo Congress began.
And the rest is history in the making. We met a handful of masters in photography that we were all like kids in Disneyland eager to have a few shots with them. Some of these shots were taken by the A Team and some are even by photographers whom we just met and requested to take our pictures using my camera.
When they gave their speeches and the formal workshop in different categories began, we couldn’t help but shake our heads in disbelief. All our efforts paid off. The experience was priceless.
See you all next year!

Ritchmond + Melissa – Dipolog Destination Wedding Photographer
Saturday, July 30th, 2011“Dipolog is known for its wild orchids and its sardine industry which stems from the rich fishing area off its shores. It is known as the ‘Gateway to Western Mindanao’ through the Western Nautical Highway and has also been called the ‘Bottled Sardines Capital of the Philippines’.” It was a looong 8hr drive from Cagayan de Oro City to the City of Orchids. The heavy rain added the excitement and our ever so trusted driver, Gigi, swept the highway at 120kmh! Drive Angry minus the super cool car.. hehehe.. “_)
This was our first at Dipolog and it was filled with so much memories. Memories that both our team and the couple would always treasure. Ritchmond and Melissa are the sweetest couple who exuded with so much love and happiness. Both made sure their day would fit their dream and it truly was magical.
