Friday, September 10th, 2010On the night of August 16, 2010, Piedad Gontiñas, owner of Basamanggas Resort and Restaurant, was amazed at how her lovely daughter, Maria Rita, blasted the resort to the 60′s. It was Piedad’s 60th Birthday and all day long, she had no idea what was in store for her that night. Everyone was an accomplice and each one of them did a great job at hiding “the secret.” It could have also been a party outside the restaurant but the rain kept us inside. See how she was surprised at the venue, guests and the beautiful dresses of the 60′s everyone was wearing. Enjoy! “_)

Galza + Quirog – Cagayan de Oro Philippines Wedding Photographer
Saturday, August 21st, 2010I thought no one reads our introductions but thankfully some people do! And our beautiful bride, Charlene, is one of them. She thinks our introductions add spice, well, the word she really used was “attraction.” So she shared a few information regarding her and Rey’s journey. Here’s her message:
“Finally I got a chance to browse your Lakshmi website. As I was reading through some wedding introductions, I realized you barely knew what happened behind the scenes, before the wedding and all. I thought I might share a little bit about our story. The introductions you made added the attraction about the couple in the photos. The days before our wedding Rey and I were already very busy. Since Rey just came, we had to do a lot like attending seminars, submitting requirements, buying this and that etc. Plus we started fetching Rey’s relatives on the 24th until the wedding day itself. So it was very chaotic and exhausting since Rey wanted to see or pick them up at the airport personally even if there was a hired van because his relatives came from far off places; USA, Japan and Manila. And then another turn of event is that his father couldn’t make it to Mindanao because he got sick and doctors won’t allow him to travel. But thankfully by Saturday night we all had a chatty dinner and went back to the Pearlmont Inn for another bonding time. -) Before Rey came, I was thinking of rest before the wedding day but that didn’t happen. I was a very exhausted bride. Thank God I still look like a human being LOL. So many thanks to you all at Lakshmi for the beautiful pictures. It barely shows that both of us are tired. I guess the exhaustion makes me forget to be self conscious. I have so many people to thank for so I guess si God na lang. All the blessing comes from God including the people who have helped me, us in everything.”
You’re welcome Rey and Charlene. It gives us so much happiness to know that you like the pictures we took on your most special day. Thank you so much. God bless! “_)

Roel + Karen – Bohol Engagement Session
Tuesday, August 17th, 2010Angel – Butuan City Pre-Debut Photography
Monday, August 2nd, 2010Meet our beautiful debutant, Angelie Rose Talaugon Cabuluna. It was a whirlwind of events when we met her and her family. We were on our way to our Surigao wedding for Kim and Vanessa when Ms. Darling Shekkar of Blissful Moments called to ask if we can meet her and a client. When we arrived at Butuan at about 8pm, we were already starving so we went straight to Aling Cora for a sumptuous dinner (Thank you Mark and Barbz Yu.) We then asked if we can meet at the same place. Luckily, both Ms. Darling and the clients obliged. There we met the very much pregnant Ms. Darling (congratulations!), Angel’s mom (who was so sweet and adorable) and a very stylish 17-year old Angel. So fashionable that even right then and there, we can already have our photoshoot!
After all the business talk, we agreed that we would come back after our Surigao wedding and have Angel’s pre-debut photoshoot. They didn’t have time coz Angel will have to go back to Manila for school at the Adventist University of the Philippines as a 2nd-year Nursing student. It was a Friday night when we met and they have to fly back to Manila at 11am on a Sunday.
After our Saturday wedding, we then went straight back to Butuan and spent the night there. Early Sunday morning was our agreed shoot. But like any other day on a rainy July, the sun didn’t grace us with its power, so we just had the shoot inside their house and at Dotties Hotel. It rained the entire time so when we finished indoors, we coyly asked Angel if she can play in the rain and we were so pleased when she said yes! Her mother, cousins and friends were there to support her and it was a fun shoot amidst the rain. Rain didn’t stop us from having fun “_) Here are her pictures that day. Enjoy!
Mark + Sam – Siargao Engagement Session – Club Tara
Thursday, July 29th, 2010If I didn’t know “opposites attract,” I’d change profession and be a theoretician. This bubbly couple, Mark Yu and Samantha Sancho, are a total opposite but they do compliment each other. Mark is the strong, adventurous dare devil, while Sam is the delicate flower, who is ever so sweet and barely gets shaken. I don’t know if she ever gets mad or angry at something.
We were at a location, at a cave in particular, and we were all stunned at how she is afraid of closed spaces. She cried like a baby and we thought, “There goes our beautiful day. Our bride won’t smile after this.” But we were all surprised at how she just brushed it off after a few minutes. She was herself again, the beautiful bride-to-be who’s ever so pleasant and adorable. Mark was there to pacify her; he gave her love, comfort and assurance that everything’s going to be alright.
Mark is so lucky to have Sam and vice versa. Mark is Sam’s prince who will be there for her and I think, will even die for her. Every girl’s dream. Sam on the other hand, has found her prince charming, who rescued her from the tower of lonesomeness. And with this, they’ll both live happily ever after.
See the love they both share with these pictures. I didn’t have a hard time at all. Both of them are a natural.
